The Greek Language Vocabulary (Il GI Vocabolario della lingua greca) is a comprehensive corpus featuring entries from archaic, classical, and Hellenistic literature, as well as texts from the imperial and late antique periods, extending into the early centuries of Christianity. It also encompasses evidence from papyri and inscriptions.

This work stands out for its rigorous scientific approach and its thoughtful consideration of the needs of secondary school students during their initial two years of study. The vocabulary's entries are methodically structured, with visual choices designed to facilitate comprehension.

A substantial number of translations and an intricate network of examples enrich the understanding of the usages and meanings of the recorded lemmas. Numerous cross-referenced entries (referred to as "lemmi-aiuto"), highlighting constructs and governmental rules, and a clear presentation of paradigmatic verb forms alongside notes on morphological variants, enable swift navigation through the information provided.

The application features a unique Greek-Italian section from the third edition, searchable by lemma, etymology, and across the entire text. Additionally, users can consult various supplementary components of the work, including lists of authors and works, collections of ancient texts, papyri, and inscriptions. The index includes links to illustrated tables found in the appendix (available in PDF format).

The free downloadable version from the store operates in trial mode, allowing access only to vocabulary starting with the letter "A" (alpha) for demonstration purposes. To unlock all dictionary content, users must purchase a license directly within the app or create an account on <a href="http://dizionari.loescher.it">http://dizionari.loescher.it</a> and enter a unlock code found on the labels of CD-ROMs sold with printed copies of the third edition since 2014.

Once downloaded, the dictionary can be accessed offline without requiring an internet connection.
